Engaging Our Legislators

To advocate for changes needed in our field, MDAEYC and our members contact and meet with policymakers, educating them about the challenges early childhood educators and allied professionals face in our work to support young children and their families.

Engaging State Legislators

At the Evening in Annapolis for Child Care, MDAEYC, along with our state partners, visit the State House in Annapolis to speak with our legislators. Early childhood educators also learn about the legislative process, hear from legislators sponsoring bills affecting ECE, and visit the House and Senate Galleries to watch the General Assembly go into session.
