On Monday, February 9, MDAEYC joined eight partner organizations for the annual Evening in Annapolis for Child Care—and more than 200 advocates from across Maryland showed up to make their voices heard. The evening in Annapolis is almost here! Will we see you there? Tag us with your pics and posts! Tomorrow night! There's still time to get your ticket for a screening of Make A Circle, an award-winning film about early childhood educators and their work to change how society views them and to create a better system for all. You’re invited to a screening of MAKE A CIRCLE, a powerful new documentary about early childhood educators who are changing how society sees their work—and fighting for a better child care system for all. With summer here and school out, it's the perfect time to register for Ready At Five’s enriching and popular three-session professional development series, "Introduction to the Science of Reading." This engaging and informative series led by Professor Brigid Cook, M.Ed., C.A.S. begins on July 15th and will explore various aspects of early literacy and demonstrate how to incorporate them into everyday practices, helping young children become ready to read and engage their parents in the process. MDAEYC's Public Policy Committee is hosting a series of Advocacy Meetings. You are invited to join us as we get together virtually to learn about policy advocacy, get updates on current policy developments affecting early childhood programs, and connect with colleagues who seek to make a difference for young children and families. We enjoyed seeing so many early childhood educators at the Maryland Early Childhood Conference this Saturday! #earlychildhoodeducator #earlychildhoodteachers #maryland Our partner United Way of Central Maryland is partnering with The Lonely Entrepreneur to offer social entrepreneurs in our network one year of exclusive access to The Lonely Entrepreneur’s online learning community! On Memorial Day, we remember those lost.
