About Us

The Maryland Association for the Education of Young Children (MDAEYC) is a professional association of more than 1,700 early childhood educators, allied
professionals, and families in Maryland. We work in child care centers, preschools, family child care homes, elementary schools, community agencies and in higher
education.

We are the state affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, which includes over 60,000 early childhood educators.

MDAEYC promotes high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.

Vision Statement

All young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential.
